21 January 1889. Charles O’Connor and Annie Kilgallin are married at St Ignatius Church, Richmond, Victoria, after emigrating from Ireland. Charles, from Cork, is the son of a policeman. Annie, from Sligo, is the daughter of a builder. Her many siblings include Rev. Father Francis Kilgallin, who is serving as a parish priest in the-then Diocese of Maitland. This dove is from the headstone of Eileen O’Connor’s maternal grandmother. It was given to Eileen when she visited the Kilgallin family home in County Sligo, Ireland, in 1915.
