19 February 1892. Our Lady’s Nurses for the Poor co-founder, Eileen O’Connor, is born in Burnley, Victoria. She is the eldest of Charles and Annie O’Connor’s four children. This gift was given to Eileen to commemorate her baptism at St Ignatius Church, Richmond, where her parents had married. The centenary of Eileen’s birth was celebrated with a Solemn High Mass at St Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney, on 16 February 1992.
