Eileen’s thoughts on compassion

Eileen’s thoughts on compassion

“The cause of poverty is nothing to do with you; you don’t ask questions you help the poor.”

“The cause of poverty is nothing to do with you; you don’t ask questions you help the poor.”

“God is love, and when He is in your hearts let all find Him there. Use the power of loving to bring happiness to all.”

“We must be good, we must do our best no matter how we feel, we must give a kind word. Try to give it the divine power of love, the same as Our lord gives His earthly love.”

Eileen O’Connor, co-founder of Our Lady’s Nurses for the Poor.

Reflection (1 Corinthians 13: 4-7): Love is patient and kind, it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith hope and patience never fail.

Prayer: Ask Our Lord to answer the doubts in our hearts to speak to our hearts, to give us faith in Him, faith as a little child. Amen.
