HISTORY - EARLY SISTERS - OUR LADY'S NURSES' WAY OF LIFE - MEDALLION - MUSEUM

The Sisters' way of life as lived out in community is based on the daily celebration of the Eucharist, the Prayer of the Church, meditation and spiritual reading. The Sisters also make an annual retreat. They take meals together and, when their ministry permits, share a "cuppa" and stories and events of the day. It is expected that Sisters will have annual holidays and they retain the freedom to socialise with family and friends. The Sisters are also involved in their local parishes.

Hospitality is central to the Sisters' way of life. Visitors are always welcomed with warmth and generosity. Practical care is extended to all who seek help, without discrimination and in the spirit of the good samaritan of the Gospel. The inspired and genuine Christian love as demonstrated in Eileen O'Connor's life is the guiding principle for the Sisters as they seek to live out her charism and ideals.

At Our Lady's Home at Coogee, pilgrims and visitors come to pray at Eileen's tomb, seeking her intercession and guidance.
